Fascia is a connective tissue found under the skin that wraps around our muscles. It also surrounds our skeleton, muscles, joints, bones, internal organs, and nerve fibers.
Connective tissue is extremely elastic and protects muscles, joints and bones. It is also a conductor of forces and information from one part to another. Since fascia represents a continuous connection of all tissue, it often happens that the problem occurs apart from the onset of pain. Fascia can become tight because it is dehydrated or has inflammatory processes, injuries, scars, inadequate nutrition or training. This limits our movement, we feel muscle tightness as a result of fascia tightness.
A special physiotherapy method is fascia manipulation because it releases tension, improves condition, and reduces pain.
